Matthew 28:19-20, NIV

God did not design the church to be a holy club, but a gathered body of believers that equip each other to go out into the world and make a difference for Jesus in what we say and do. We are called to go and share the good news of Jesus, whether in word or deed.

Go into the communities in which we live and work

We encourage our church to live out their faith in the everyday places of life, with the various people we meet. This may involve inviting people to events and courses like Alpha or Puzzling Questions, where we share the good news of Jesus and enjoy open conversations with those exploring what faith might look like for themselves. We also seek to go out to serve others in our communities; we have run CAP money courses in the past and are currently setting up a community wellbeing café in Prudhoe. Find out how to get involved here.

Go into the wider world

We have active link with BMS missionaries in Spain and the Smiles foundation in Romania. Our youth group, plus adult members of the church have been on three mission trips to Romania to serve people living in poverty to bring practical help, love and care.
