Romania

   The church has established close links with two organisations serving Romania,  The Smiles Foundation in Oradea and the Bethlehem Christian Centre in Hunedoara.  We have been out to visit both places and currently the Red Bananas Youth Group have encouraged the whole church to participate in a Year of Action collecting different items each month, many of which will go to these two organisations, others will go to more local good causes such as the Hexham Food Bank.

Romanian Shoeboxes - 2018 - Shoe boxes tobe at SBC by 11th November, please.

Every year we encourage people within our church, local community and participating schools to wrap, fill and send shoeboxes to Romania.  If you would like to make up a shoebox or several, please see link below for the labels, suggestions for gifts and further information.

We support our Romanian partners who distribute shoeboxes to children in need, for many of whom this is their only Christmas Present.   At the same time they get to hear about the good news of Jesus.
