It’s shoebox time again. Last year we sent 250 shoeboxes to Hunedoara in Romania. An incredible effort.
This year we are hoping to send a minimum of 150 shoeboxes. We need empty shoeboxes, preferably wrapped with Christmas paper. We would also like to ask for donations of either filled boxes, or goods to go in them. Can you knit or sew? We need hats, scarves, and gloves. Alternatively you could donate money which will be used to purchase the things necessary to fill the shoeboxes and for transport. Unfortunately the transport costs have now doubled to get the boxes through Customs and to Romania. Money should be given to Heather Gate, or sent by BACS to the SBC account, referenced as “Shoeboxes".
The last date for collection of boxes and goods will be Sunday 13th November at Church
